When I set out to create this online compendium of books all about the larger male form, I found a bit of variety among the books I wanted to include. So, for your convenience, I’ve started classifying them by the type of hero they feature. They’re all big, but that’s where the similarities end. Have a look around and pick your favourite.

Just like Mike & Molly, these two seem to be made for each other. Whether it’s movie marathons or sharing pints of icecream on the couch, these are the everyday men and women we can all relate to. All the feels and passion as a regular romance couple, but with a hefty dose of realism!

Approaching middle age, perhaps with one failed marriage already behind them, these guys have seen the world already. Whether they’re literally dads or not, our heroines can see them for the real gems they are. Who wouldn’t love to fall for a sexy & protective provider?

Soft & Sensitive

The rarest of the lot; the soft & sensitive hero might be struggling with his self image and rarely make the first move, but he also knows what he wants deep down. And it’s the heroine. Give him a chance and this often overlooked teddy bear might just turn into a wild animal in bed and steal your heart in the process.
